Made out of solid cherry wood. Handmade in Pennsylvania from local, sustainably harvested cherry wood. Due to the handmade and natural nature of work, the wood grain of the comb you receive will likely vary slightly from the wood grain of the comb(s) in the pictures. 

The wood is treated with food safe mineral oil, the same oil you'll find on wooden cutting boards. It is not stained or sealed with plastic. Re-oil as you wish to keep the wood soft and cared for. A coconut/beeswax blend is recommended, however mineral oil is fine too!
